Aron's Barbers and Hairdressers Policies and Procedures for COVID-19

We will provide you with a safe environment that complies with the governments guidelines

1.Our salon.

We have undertaken a thorough review of our salon and services.

We have rearranged our salon furniture and marked off areas to adhere to social distancing.

We are limiting the amount of clients that will be in the salon at one time.

The barbers are now running on an appointment only basis to limit the amount of people in the salon at one time.

After every client, every surface will be wiped clean and an antibacterial spray will be used.

Door handles and the PDQ machine will be cleaned regularly.

All items of equipment will be disinfected before and after every service.

Aprons towels and gowns will either be washed on a high temperature after each client or we will use disposable ones.

The hairdressers will be asking for bank transfers as payment (where possible) to limit the amount of people at reception.

All clients will be asked to sanitise their hands upon arrival.

All staff will regularly wash and sanitise hands throughout the day.

2.Our team.

Aron and Kirsty have both taken health and safety course’s during lockdown with regards to COVID 19. Aron has taken the British master barbers health and safety COVID-19 certificate and Kirsty has taken the Barbicide COVID-19 health and safety certificate.

Aron will be 2 m distance away from Scott and Kirsty will be in her own room with the door closed and the window open.

All team members know if they show any symptoms of COVID 19 (continuous cough high temperature or loss of taste or smell) we will have to close Aron’s Barbers and Hairdressers for 7 days. We will also have to close if the NHS track and trace contacts us. If your appointment is cancelled for any reason all clients will be re-scheduled as soon as possible.

3.Health and safety measures.

A full risk assessment has been carried out and will be displayed in the salon, website and our social media.

All staff member will be wearing visors to protect ourselves and our clients.

Social distancing tape is on the floor reminding clients to stay 2m apart. We have removed the middle station and taken away the child’s car seat as this is hard to keep clean and will be less than 1m away from the other barber.

Signs will be placed around the salon reminding people to wash or sanitise their hands upon arrival.

The waiting area will have parts of it taped off keeping clients at a 2m distance where possible. Where it’s not possible we will have 1m with clients all wearing masks.

The toilets will be cleaned regularly but we ask clients to refrain from using them where possible as it is hard to socially distance.

After each client has left the salon we will rigorously clean the section and surrounding areas with cleaning wipes and antibacterial sanitiser spray.

Door handles will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.

We request all clients to keep their belongings to a minimum and to keep them close to them.

4.Client arrival and reception.

At this time, we will not be accepting walk-ins and ask you to book your appointment.

We request you arrive on time for your appointment to insure we have enough regular cleaning time in the salon. Failure to turn up on time may result in your appointment being rescheduled and a possible charge.

We ask all clients to bring their own mask. These can be handmade ones or surgical ones. Once you are in the stylist chair you will be allowed to remove your mask for the service to be carried out. We will sell masks at £1 if you forget to bring it.

On arrival to Aron’s barbers and hairdressers we will ask you to sanitise your hands with the sanitiser provided.

We ask that clients attend their appointments alone where possible. If you do bring anyone else with you it’s your responsibility to follow our procedures. Failure to do this may result in us asking you to wait outside in order to follow the government’s guidelines regarding social distancing.

At this time, we will not be offering any refreshments apart from water in a plastic cup.

You will not be allowed to eat in the salon and there will be no magazines available.

We recommend re-booking your next appointment before you leave to avoid disappointment.

The reception area and card machine will be regularly cleaned.

We will accept cash payments.

Kirsty will be asking clients to pay by bank transfer where possible to avoid overcrowding in the barbers.

All clients will be asked to sanitise their hands before they leave.

A reminder text will be sent out 24 hours prior to your appointment. On that text we will be asking you if you have any COVID symptoms.

DO NOT come to Aron’s Barbers and Hairdressers if you have any of the COVID19 symptoms. The symptoms are a continuous cough, high temperature and loss of taste and smell.
